Our Story

Throughout high school, the three of us have always found ourselves in situations where we were told what programs to join and what activities to do. We were never able to find activities according to our interests, which is why we created Oppordemic to help high school students find the perfect opportunities that suit their own tastes.

Jasmine, Josh, and Peter created Oppordemic as high schoolers to give their peers an easier time finding opportunities that help mold the students into whom they want to be.

Jasmine Yuan is a high schooler and cofounder of Oppordemic. She is a part of business, econ, and volunteer clubs in school, as well as the tennis team. In her free time, she likes to read, hike, and commit micro agression.

Based in San Francisco, Josh Kao is a rising high school senior. He is the president of two of his school clubs, a member of the cross country, track, and marching band team. Additionally, Josh is involved in multiple cross cultural exchange programs. To this day, you would most likely to spot Josh biking on the streets of SF or shopping in bookstores.

Based in the bay area, Peter Chen is an ex-high schooler and current student at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Majoring in business, he hopes to gain more experience in the field that will eventually aid the growth of Oppordemic.
